This is a signed limited edition of “Picture Poems” published by the Arion Press in 1975 with a limitation of 500 copies. From the publisher, "This, the first book of the Arion Press, was published as a catalogue for Andrew Hoyem's one-man show of drawings at the California Palace of the Legion of Honor under the auspices of the Achenbach Foundation for Graphic Arts. Most of the images incorporate poetry or refer to writings by the artist.”
Measuring 11.25” x 11.25” and containing 60 pages, the book is bound in cloth over boards with titling labels on the front cover and spine. The drawings are reproduced by photolithography and the text is printed by letterpress in Monotype Goudy Californian on Curtis Rag paper. The book is signed by Andrew Hoyem on the colophon.
Accompanying the book is a broadside invitation to the exhibition, January 18 to March 16, 1975, at the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, 1975.
The book is in FINE condition with no flaws.
