Binding Details: Stunning contemporary inlaid leather binding signed by Bayntun - Riviere, Bath of full green morocco leather with the spine lettered in gilt on double orange leather labels with the date stamped in gild on the bottom of the spine. The front cover features an elaborate onlaid leather design of a bow outlined in gild with the title embossed within the gild. The design is consistent with the Eric Gill front cover illustration of the 1937 edition. The endleaves are hand-marbled and all page ends are gold gilted. The stamp of the binder is stamped in gilt on the inside cover. The book is housed in a custom made slipcase.
Book Details: This is the first U.K. trade edition, preceded by the limited edition of the previous year. Ulysses was recently chosen as the most important novel in the English language. Listed in Modern Library's Top 100 Novels .
The book measures 9.75” x 7.75”, 766 pages.
